Sublime’s 2011 objectives for the club and strategies to implement these objectives, including identifying lessons learnt and new opportunities and skills we have as a team are listed below.

Objectives
• To be a successful and sustainable elite open club by fielding
o A semifinalist Nationals team - select the strongest team possible.
o A development team - To develop an increased high performance player base and skills set for 2012.
• To be a fun team where you enjoy play and get to know your team mates.
• To be a positive team to develop individual and team skills.
• To develop leadership and strategies for 2012

New Ideas/Areas for Improvement
• Increased Focus at training - Emphasis of team training quality
o Preseason (October-December)
o In Season Team Training/Tournaments (January – March) (Note Nationals is first weekend of April)
• Improved individual skills
• Team Bonding (weekend camps)
• More tournament play

In order to achieve the objectives defined for Sublime’s 2011 campaign below is a list of the club expectations. Expectations will vary for each team in terms of some training and financial expectations however all club members should be striving to achieve

Club High Performance, Development and Team Selection
Sublime will have two teams, a high performance (Nationals) team and a development team.
• The Nationals team will be selected based on a nominal skill level reflecting the potential of the team.
o The leadership group will therefore not select a particular team size for the championships, rather selecting based on the positive contribution individuals can make to the team and team balance. Some interstate players may be used where the leadership group determines they will be beneficial to the team and team balance. I
o Interstate players will not be used instead of WA players rather they would be added to team as defined in the above point.
• The development team will be selected based on fielding a Nationals calibre team for players looking to play more competitive ultimate outside of WA and to develop their individual game. The focus of this team will be geared more towards gaining experience.
• Players who are not selected for the Nationals team will have opportunities and will be encouraged to participate with the Sublime Nationals team in elite warm up tournaments to gain experience.
• Team selections will be made based on performance at training sessions and tryouts.

The general arrangement for selections is as follows.
o Tryout weekends - December.
o Teams announced – early January.
o Club Bonding weekend – mid/late January
o 2 x Warm Up tournaments (East Coast) - Feb/March (ie Club attendance - players drawn from both teams)
o Regionals – February
o Nationals – early April
